type of surface used on, slab referring to a hard surface like concrete and rough terrain referring to dirt, mud and inclines.
These machines can further be grouped by how they are powered, such as, electric, gas and/or liquid propane and diesel.
Typically, these lift from 7 ft. to 50 ft. high. |

Platforms, Self-Propelled Boom Lifts, Articulated Booms, Knuckle Booms, Up and Over Booms, Zoom Booms, Straight Booms, Basket
Lift, and Cherry Pickers. There are many other names that may apply. Boom lifts offer horizontal reach as well as vertical
lift, and can even be more versatile in the articulated or "up and over" style. Boom Lifts also are grouped by the surface used
on, and how they are powered. Typically, these lift from 30 ft. to 120 ft. high. |

There are other names that may apply. These machines can have the highest reach of over 300 ft. and are used mostly
outside. |

Trailer Mounted Boom Lifts, Trailer Booms, Cherry Pickers, Trailer Man Baskets and there are other names that
may apply. These can be powered by battery, gas or diesel engines. These range in height from 20 ft. to over 200
ft. |

Personnel Lifts, Push Arounds and Man Lifts are intended to be used on slab (solid) surfaces, are vertical
lifts. Many have only power lift up and down features. Typically, these are manually pushed ("Push-Around Lift"). These can be
a lower cost alternatives compared to other access equipment. Many of these lift from 20 ft. to 40 ft. high, and they are
generally lighter in weight. Self-propelled lifts are available, at higher cost and more weight. |

Construction Style Forklifts, Construction Style Trucks, Rough Terrain Forklifts, Pneumatic tired Forklifts,
and "Ag Truck" or Agricultural Forklift. Diesel, and gas powered. Straight masts have lift capacities from 4,000 lb. to over
20,000 lb. They have large pneumatic tires to cope with uneven and rough terrain. These lifts are used to unload trucks and can
lift material to 40 ft and higher. |

Extendible Reach Forklifts, Extendible Reach Trucks, Variable Reach, Telescopic, Reach Forklifts, Reach Trucks,
Zoom Booms, Material Handlers, Job Handlers and Boom Forklifts. Extendible Reach Forklifts have many of the qualities of a
straight mast forklift, 4x4, and extend with a horizontal reach. This feature allows the operator to reach over obstructions.
Some units can reach 60 feet and more. Load capacities are generally 5,000 to 12,000 pounds and up to over 30,000 pounds and
